Producer Karl Sydow and Royal Theatre Carré are delighted to announce that Sting’s musical, The Last Ship will return to Carré due to the phenomenal success of its initial season which receives its world première on Sunday 18th January 2026. Following a completely sold-out original run ahead of its premiere, the musical, written by and starring Sting will return to Amsterdam from 29 August to 13 September 2026 with tickets on sale today...

The Last Ship opens its run at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam tonight. Sting is in one of the lead roles in this extraordinary production, which will be performed exclusively at Carré for a limited run. The show is at Jazz In Marciac Festival (Indoor @ Le Chapiteau) in Marciac, France on July 20. There are no presales for the show which has just gone on general sale now from www.jazzinmarciac.com/en.

The show is at Les Nuits de Barcelona at the Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona, Spain on July 7. The show will go on presale to Sting.com members today, Thursday December 11 at noon (local) and on general sale on Friday, December 12 at noon (local)...

2020: Sting appeared as Jackie White in The Last Ship at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

2017: Sting performed with Chris Cornell and other artists at a fundraising event for ROCK4EB! in Malibu, USA.

2015: Sting appeared as Jackie White in The Last Ship at the Neil Simon Theatre in New York.

2011: Accompanied by the Tokyo New City Orchestra, Sting performed at the Aichi Gymnasium in Nagoya, Japan.

2005: The soundtrack to the movie 'Racing Stripes' is released and features a new Sting track 'Taking The Inside Rail'.

2002: At a celebration party for the new editor of Harpers Bazaar magazine in New York, Sting sang two old classics - 'The Very Thought of You' and 'My Funny Valentine'.

2001: Sting performed at the Pista Atletica Del Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile.

2000: Sting performed at Le Zenith in Pau, France.

1997: Sting performed at the Palace of Culture and Sport in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Sting was also nominated for a Brit Award in the Best British Solo Male Artist category.

1994: Sting performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

1993: Sting was in Glastonbury, not far from his Wiltshire home, filming the video for the single, 'If I Ever Lose My Faith In You'.

1986: Sting performed at the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland.

1979: The Police performed with Eberhard Schoener at the Neue Welt in Berlin, Germany.

 

SUMMONER'S TALES...

"Songs just kind of grow. You get a little seed idea and it's almost like a DNA code that comes into play as the limbs grow, verses grow, and a bridge and a chorus grows. And it plays this code, like the DNA. And basically, as a songwriter, you actually only monitor it and control it. You don't produce it. It's kind of mysterious, and no matter how much credit you take for it you're the agent. And I'm not really sure how the process works."
